Used the wire technique on the ends of kuhmohimo for bracelets. So much better than other techniques that I was using. Will make the hammered clasps soon!

This is more of a question. In he conclusion you said that you could liver of sulfur the clasps. Does that mean that the leather is attached when you do that? Will it harm the leather?
Beaducation Replied:

Kim meant to oxidize the clasp before attaching it to leather. Liver of sulfur is very smelly and that stink will undoubtedly stay on the leather. Plus, it would likely stain it.

Very cool way to attach the leather to the clasp. I'm going home to make some tonight! Thanks Kim.

Ive used this design many times over the past several months and the clasps look great. Filing the taper on the ends of the s-hook makes for a nice finished look. Thanks for the video!

One problem I have is getting a round end on the leather wrappings. The circle seems to result in a D shape instead of a circle.

Thanks again!!

Thank you for this! I still have so much to learn (and so many more supplies to buy, haha!) but this is exactly what I needed in order to figure out how I wanted to make some of my bracelets.

Awesome video! So clear and easy to follow!

Fantastic tutorial, this has saved me so much headaches in trying to figure out how to make these clasps. I was wondering if 18-gauge wire could also be used - I have issues sometimes trying to work with 16-gauge copper
Beaducation Replied:

You can use 18 gauge wire but you'll want to keep the clasps small to maintain their strength, and definitely make a "hammered" clasp.  The hammering work hardens the metal.
