For cutting solder wire and solder sheet.

To cut perfectly sized lengths of wire or sheet for soldering. For wire, insert the wire into the hole on the side of the pliers so it lays all the way across the gap in the head. You will be able to see the wire through the opening. For sheet, lay the sheet up against the flat jaw and scoot it up until it hits the ledge, letting it overlap the gap. Then punch down to get a perfect little square.

After cutting your solder wire or sheet, make sure and keep each type separate. Use a small ziplock baggie or these little jars to keep them sorted. The last thing that you want to do is mix your easy, medium and hard solders!
