Solder Paste allows for very precise application. It comes with a convenient 1/2 oz syringe and two dispensing tips. This SOFT paste solder is cadmium free and contains a blend of solder powder, flux and binder.

Melting temperature is 1240F, flow temperature is at 1325F. Use with soldering picks to apply to soldering joint.

Although Copper Solder Paste is not actually copper in color, it IS less bright than Silver Solder Paste. It is best to use when soldering one piece onto another piece of metal so you will not have visible solder exposed. If your bottom blank is silver or nickel any visible solder will match in color.

Important steps when using Copper Solder Paste:
    • Don't add too much solder.
    • Don't overheat your piece.
    • Heat your entire piece evenly.
    • Too much solder or overheating your piece will overflow and expose the solder.
    • Numbers on syringe: lot #, weight, date paste was made.
    • Store at room temperature, out of sunlight.

At less than a third of the cost of Silver Solder Paste, it is a much less expensive alternative.

Do I want soft solder or hard solder? Solder comes in soft, medium or hard. This simply indicates the difference in temperature required to get the solder to flow. Soft flows at a lower temperature than medium and so on. This is important if you are going to be soldering multiple layers of metal on the same piece. You would solder with a harder (higher temp) solder the first time and a comparatively softer (lower temp) solder the second time. This will keep previous joints from re-flowing. If you only need to solder one time, you can use any level but you might as well use soft or medium to save time and fuel.
